Good budget hotel in a shopping area just next door to port and Mae haad beach and Mae Haad shops and the pier and shops. The room was immaculately clean and huge, and we were provided with seaview and nice balkony, as example. Marvellous and stunning location for our visit to Koh Tao Leisure Park at walking distance from the property. Such great stay, as always.

Absolutely loved the view from our Superior Double Room! The location is perfect, just a minute from the pier, and the staff were super nice. The room was spacious and clean, and there's a great café nearby with tasty food options.

Room was very nice.
Location for us was not right. We wanted something a little quieter and wanted a pool.

The room had a comfortable bed and a good bathroom, nice for pleasant relaxation after a day of adventure. The corner room offered a fine beach view that was perfect for catching sunsets.
The absence of a swimming pool is a significant drawback for cooling off in the heat. The sliding doors to the balcony were not properly fixed. While the location near the pier is convenient, it also results in early morning noise from ferries and garbage collection trucks.

Clean and friendly little resort. Well maintained, seems relatively new. Would def recommend. Only negative point is that it was next to the pier which made the beach unappealing to swim in. Good location nonetheless.

Good location and friendly staff. Big rooms.
Ananda Villa was great - shame I couldn't say the same about the adjoining restaurant as the food was avergae and the service very poor. The girls working there are very offhand and don't give a hoot.

Request a room in block B for a tiled balcony with a sea view and a lovely breeze.

Good value for the price and nice location. Although simple and basic, it was clean and well taken care of. Good alternatives for breakfast at the restarant.

Ananda have an english speaking, friendly and very kind receptionist.
Everything besides the receptionist! First of all, the pictures you see of Ananda Ville on the internet is made in Photoshop. The place isn't beautiful, but thats not just Ananda Ville. I have been travelling a lot in Thailand, and Koh Tao has to be the least beautiful place I have seen so far. It seems that Ananda is run by a family, and unfortunately they use their lazy and eye-rolling teenagers as waiters, but if I were a teenager I would also hate to work as a waiter all day long! Their thaifood hasn't anything to do with real thai streetfood, in this restaurant you get your pad grapow muu with carrots, babycorn and redpepper and you have to ask for fishsauce, chili, sugar etc. Rooms are fair, but the garden view bungalows is placed in a not so beautiful garden, and although the seaview rooms is placed right on the beach, you don't get any seaview because the windows isn't faceing the sea. Ananda have WiFi, but you're very lucky if you find a signal from your garden bungalow, so most of the time you'll have to bring your laptop to the restaurant. I went to Koh Tao because I love to go snorkeling, but most of the reef around the island is dead. We spend a lot of money on Koh Tao, hopeing to have a nice vacation in beautiful and friendly sorroundings, but that wasn't the case.

A view worth waking up for
The room had a amazing ocean view that greeted us each morning. The spacious balcony was perfect for our sunsets, and the location was a blend of convenience and tranquility.
The noise from nearby ferries and a restaurant could be disruptive at times, especially early in the morning. Plus, the WiFi was hit-or-miss during video calls.
